Future FBI HQ Site Choices Narrowed to Prince George’s, Fairfax Counties

fbi headquartersThe General Services Administration plans to release a request for proposals for the development of the FBI’s future headquarters campus after a joint panel completes a series of regulatory reviews.

Both the GSA and FBI identified three possible locations, from which the agencies’ joint panel will select a site for the consolidated FBI offices, GSA said Tuesday.

GSA plans to launch a two-phase RFP to develop the future FBI headquarters.

Potential sites for the hub include:

  • Greenbelt Metro Station in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
  • The former Landover Mall in Prince George’s County.
  • The GSA Franconia Warehouse Complex in Fairfax County, Virginia.

GSA will also evaluate the sites for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act and invite public comment.
