digital governmentThe General Services Administration will deploy two new platforms designed to make procurement and contract management easier for agencies, says Liz DelNegro, GSA associate chief information officer for acquisition IT systems.

DelNegro writes in a Tuesday blog post the Enterprise Acquisition Solution integrated technology seeks to help agencies receive funding certification assistance as well as access standardized solicitation and award packages.

The Assisted Services Information SysTem would integrate funds management and contracting functions and offer a central registration tool for GSA, vendors and clients, according to DelNegro.

She says ASSIST is meant to replace multiple legacy systems at the agency and improve user experience through set of web-based services.
