18F to Form Acquisitions Planning Group; Greg Godbout Comments

GSAThe General Services Administration‘s digital delivery team seeks to establish an agile development and acquisitions planning group, FCW reported Monday.

Adam Mazmanian writes 18F intends for 18F Consulting to serve as a solutions architect for government agencies.

Greg Godbout, 18F’s co-founder and executive director, told FCW that 18F Consulting will work to aid agencies in replacing legacy systems using an agile development approach.

“Before we go to procurement, we’re going to really make sure we’re getting it right. And all the contracts you engage in are going to allow for pivots and allow for real agile work to occur,” he told the publication.

18F also plans to release a dashboard that will display status information on projects and GitHub links of code repositories, according to the report.
