Stephen Warren, chief information officer of the Department of Veterans Affairs, has announced that the department expects to release a request for proposals for the patient scheduling system later this month.
Warren says Tuesday that the VA will review industry feedback to the draft release to finalize the requirements documentation and shape the deployment plan for the scheduling system accordingly.
“VA’s goal remains to select a vendor who can meet our aggressive deployment timeline of 2 years after contract award, in six month increments or less,” he writes.
The department expects to award a contract for the system in January.
