IARPA Introduces Predictive Intell Initiative

IARPA_logo_EMThe Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity has unveiled a predictive intelligence work in progress during an unclassified industry event, FCW reported Thursday.

Sean Lyngaas writes IARPA highlighted a crowd-sourced aggregative contingent estimation program as a tool to predict world events.

IARPA also held a tournament in which five teams combined predictions from thousands of analysts worldwide and measure the probability of an event, according to the report.

Lyngaas writes academics, intelligence contractors and entrepreneurs attended IARPA’s first public industry event in College Park, Maryland, on Oct. 29 and 30.
