U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Robert Work and Philip Dunne, British minister for defense equipment, support and technology, met Tuesday at the Pentagon to discuss the countries’ defense programs, DoD News reported Thursday.
DoD News reports U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Courtney Hillson, a spokesperson for the defense secretary, said Work and Dunne discussed budgetary, national security and technological issues during their meeting.
The two defense officials also seek to expand collaboration between their organizations to build new technologies, according to the publication.
Work flew to the U.K. in July to meet with British government and military leaders.
