Sarri has held the PMB principal deputy role since last year, the White House said Thursday.
Before joining the agency, she spent three years at the Office of Management and Budget as an associate director for legislative affairs and worked for nearly two years at the Commerce Department as deputy director of its policy and strategic planning office.
She has also served as a senior policy adviser to Senator Jack Reed, a legislative director for the Northeast-Midwest Senate Coalition and an education coordinator at the Cheetah Conservation Fund.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington University and a dual master’s degree from the University of Michigan.
