Denise Turner Roth, acting administrator at the General Services Administration since mid-February, highlighted the agency’s programs to transform federal services, acquisition and work environments in a blog post published Monday.

Roth said the agency piloted an acquisition gateway to reorganize products and service offerings by category and to encourage interaction between vendors and customer agencies.

GSA also seeks to help other agencies save on building operating costs and increase operational efficiency through the Total Workplace initiative, according to Roth.

She added GSA’s 18F and Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies are working to engage citizens through the use of digital technology.

“This year, we will continue to build on our success and continue to explore paths that pushes our government forward, further providing the support and services our federal partners need in the 21st century,” she stated.

According to Roth, GSA has saved money following an internal performance-based evaluation and reorganization.
