ContractSigningThe U.S. Agency for International Development has received the highest possible grade on the Small Business Administration‘s fiscal year 2014 small business scorecard.

SBA recognized USAID for collaborations with small businesses as the government seeks to increase competition for small businesses on direct and indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts, USAID said Friday.

“As we partner to end extreme poverty and promote resilient democratic societies, I encourage USAID to work with our country’s small businesses to energize our economy and create a more secure and prosperous future for all,” said Alfonso Lenhardt, USAID acting administrator ambassador.

USAID allocated 21 percent of its domestic contract dollar obligations to small businesses in fiscal 2014.
