The General Services Administration’s 18F has released a video series that details how the HTTPS (secure hypertext transfer protocol) communication protocol works.18F said Thursday it collaborated with DigitalGov University to produce the videos as part of the U.S. government’s effort to transition to HTTPS.
The series explains how the protocol protects users, how to transition a website and how HTTPS is set up.
18F also discusses various reasons for adopting the communication protocol.
The presentation also examines current and future technical and political developments that concern HTTPS and certifications.
