IARPA Seeks Ideas for Logical Qubits Program

IARPA_logo_EMThe Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity wants industry input for a program to develop a logical qubit from a number of imperfect physical qubits.

IARPA said in a solicitation published Thursday that it plans to integrate extensible integration into high-fidelity multi-qubit operations under the logical qubits program.

The program is scheduled to kick off on Feb. 1, 2016 through Jan. 31 2021.

IARPA intends for the program to increase quantum gates fidelity, state preparation and qubit readout using a multi-disciplinary approach.

The program also aims to enhance control, implement active quantum feedback and reset and reuse qubits.

Interested companies are required to submit their proposals by Sept. 1.
