Justice Dept Eyes Tech Refresh to Support Mobile Workforce

mobile device managementThe Justice Department has issued a request for information on “best of breed” office technologies as the department plans a technology upgrade amid the emergence of the mobile workforce, Nextgov reported Monday.

Hallie Golden writes that the RFI indicates DOJ’s interest in cross-platform applets, office communications devices connected via Wi-Fi, unified communications, the Internet of Things, wearable technology and wireless desk spaces.

Nextgov reports DOJ seeks to establish an “office of the future” by adapting to evolving technology and building office tools that support mobility.
