1 min read

GSATeressa Wykpisz-Lee, deputy associate administrator of the Office of Communications and Marketing for the General Services Administration, expects users of GSA’s fleet management application to grow in number for future releases, GCN reported Monday.

Amanda Ziadeh writes GSA personnel and vehicle contractors use the Fleet Management System To Go app to access the agency’s fleet management system in order to manage on-site and remote inventory.

The app extends a system that runs on a Unisys ClearPath mainframe to a mobile device that uses ClearPath ePortal middleware application programming interfaces, according to the report.

Wykpisz-Lee told GCN nearly 200 employees are already using the tool.

The app runs on Android devices and works to scan barcode and recognize voice using the device’s camera and microphone, GCN reports.

The app works to help users load vehicle information and vehicle inventory, organize license plate orders and assign vehicles to federal clients, Ziadeh reports.
