1 min read

cybersecurityThe Labor Department’s inspector general has outlined what that office views as information security deficiencies at DOL that have taken place over the last five years, FCW reported Tuesday.

Adam Mazmanian writes the Labor IG found security loopholes in the areas of access control, third-party oversight and configuration management.

An IG report found that the department failed to remove access privileges for former employees, according to the report.

The report also revealed oversight issues involving physical and logical access controls, shared accounts, system security assessments, business impact assessments, contingency plan and interconnections, FCW reports.
