The U.S. Marshals Service has issued a request for information on potential partners in academia for activities in support of the USMS Data Strategy that is part of the service’s transformational strategic plan.
USMS said in a notice posted Aug. 13 on FedBizOpps that it aims to boost value of its data for predictive and prescriptive analytics and focus on data governance, data quality and data strategy.
The academic partnership initiative will work to develop skills through employee education and training on data analytics and internship or fellowship opportunities as well as a knowledge consortium, the Marshals Service added.
The service said it aims to build up its capabilities as a data-driven organization to reduce risk and redundancy, improve reporting and decision timelines, and increase productivity and information exchange.
