In the memo published Monday, Associate Director Mark Reinhold of OPM’s employee services division said IRP works to help high-potential federal workers expand their professional network, organizational experience and leadership competencies.
Feedback from participants pointed to increased engagement, job satisfaction and competence in terms of the five executive core qualifications, Reinhold noted.
PMC, OPM, the Chief Human Capital Officers Council and the Office of Management and Budget collaborated to conceptualize, develop and launch IRP in 2011.
Reinhold added that OPM will continue work to expand IRP across the U.S. and encourage additional Federal Executive Boards to participate in the program.
