NARA’s John Fitzpatrick Joins National Security Council as Info Security Mgmt Senior Director

WhiteHouseJohn Fitzpatrick, formerly director of the information security oversight office at the National Archives and Records Administration, has been named senior director for records access and information security management at the White House’s National Security Council, Federal Times reported Tuesday.

Aaron Boyd writes Fitzpatrick will lead the National Industrial Security Program and serve as an adviser to the president with regard to information security policies.

He will also work to establish communications between the White House and NARA through William Cira, ISOO associate director for classified management at NARA, Boyd reports.

Cira will serve as interim ISOO director until NARA appoints a permanent replacement to Fitzpatrick, according to the report.
