Greg Boone: GSA 18F Division to Move Website on Federalist Platform

GSAThe General Services Administration‘s 18F division plans to move its website to the Federalist platform in an effort to meet stability, consistency and trustworthiness requirements for its readers, 18F said Wednesday.

Greg Boone writes the platform will help 18F focus its effort on the writing, editing and designing for the site and aid in the publishing process through a preview URL feature that provides a way to view a post before publication.

One tradeoff of the move to Federalist will be the loss of an option to implement technology including privacy features such as Online Certificate Status Protocol stapling, 18F said.

Boone added Federalist brings sites around the world through the Amazon Web ServicesElastic Load Balancer and will explain more about the system in future posts.
