The Department of Homeland Security, Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the FBI will jointly host a three-day national classified dialogue with the country’s state election officials beginning on Friday.ODNI said Thursday the briefing event seeks to increase state governments’ awareness of foreign adversary threats on election infrastructure and help state officials address security risks to voting systems.
Representatives from the National Association of Secretaries of State, National Association of State Election Directors and Election Assistance Commission are expected to participate in the forum.
DHS, FBI and ODNI intend for the dialogue to encourage partnership and data sharing efforts to mitigate critical infrastructure threats.
