USAF Gets Professional Help to Support $2B Savings Goal for 2021

The Air Force Installation Contracting Agency hosted a sourcing summit to gain professional insight in support of its goal to save $2 billion by 2021.

The third annual Enterprise Sourcing Summit took place Tuesday to Wednesday at the Air Force Institute of Technology, and welcomed over 100 professionals in the area of category management, Wright Patterson Air Force Base said Thursday.

The agency has been pursuing the enterprise sourcing effort for five years and is on track with its savings goal.

Nicole Shatto, a procurement analyst for strategic sourcing at AFICA’s operating office at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, said that her site has saved about $35 million through the use of enterprise sourcing tools.
