FBI Director Christopher Wray said the bureau has introduced a “dual route” feature to a system designed to help the agency notify state law enforcement fusion centers and field offices of terror threats, FCW reported Wednesday.

The bureau introduced in 2009 the eGuardian incident reporting system, a data sharing platform hosted on the FBI’s Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal that works to transmit suspicious activity reports to field offices.

Wray said at a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing the launch of the new capability has led to the arrest of at least one individual “within hours” of receipt of the threat notice by a state fusion facility.
