Serena Chan: DISA to Test Enterprise Identity Mgmt Tech Prototype With Pilot Apps in January

Serena Chan, director of the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) cyber development directorate, said DISA plans to begin testing in January 2021 its enterprise identity, credential and access management prototype with a subset of 13 applications from several Department of Defense components. The ICAM prototype is set to achieve initial operational capability in late December 2020.

Report: Pentagon Plans to Migrate 80% of Apps to JEDI Cloud

The Defense Department has announced plans to move up to 80 percent of its applications to the proposed Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure cloud platform, Federal News Network reported Monday. DoD’s cloud migration goal was revealed after the Government Accountability Office issued its ruling on a protest filed by Oracle over the solicitation for the potential $10B JEDI cloud procurement contract.

Jonathan Feibus: Cloud Adoption Offers Flexibility to Nuclear Regulatory Commission

Jonathan Feibus, chief information security officer at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, has said NRC has begun to update several internal applications as part of its cloud migration effort, Federal News Network reported Wednesday. “We’ve recently moved to a number of cloud applications for productivity apps like the office suite, like email,” he said on the network’s Federal Monthly Insights-Application Services Month.
