Millisa Gary to Lead AbilityOne Program at GSA

Millisa Gary, former procurement ombudsman at the General Services Administration, will go on to serve as program executive of AbilityOne, a government-led procurement effort to create more job opportunities for disabled Americans. She holds the task to ensure GSA awards fair-priced AbilityOne contracts, updates service offerings and supports the mission to employ for disabled U.S. citizens, Jeff Koses, the agency's senior procurement executive, wrote in a blog posted Monday.

Chris Campione Appointed New Energy Department CIO

The Department of Energy has appointed Chris Campione as its new chief information officer, replacing Max Everett, who held the position for two years, FedScoop reported Tuesday.

Campione was named principal deputy CIO at DOE earlier this month after spending 10 years at information technology services company Planet Technologies, most recently as vice president within its federal division.

Harvard Medical School Professor Gil Alterovitz Named VA’s First AI Director

Gil Alterovitz, a biomedical informatics professor at Harvard Medical School and a White House presidential innovation fellow, has joined the Department of Veterans Affairs as director of artificial intelligence. He leads the ongoing efforts to broaden the application of AI in department's research and healthcare programs and collaborate with third-party organizations focusing on the technology, VA said Wednesday.

CIA Vet Kevin Zerrusen Takes SEC Cybersecurity Advisory Role

Kevin Zerrusen, former managing director for Goldman Sachs, has been appointed senior advisor for cybersecurity policy under Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Jay Clayton, SEC said Monday. Zerrusen will oversee the agency’s collaborative efforts on cybersecurity policy, risk assessment and relationship management in his new capacity.
