Kristina Littman to Lead SEC Enforcement Division’s Cyber Unit

Kristina Littman, a former staff attorney of the Securities and Exchange Commission, has been appointed to serve as chief within the cyber unit of SEC's Division of Enforcement. She will lead a unit that secures investors and associated markets from cases of cybercrime, succeeding Robert Cohen who stepped down from the role in August, the commission said Monday.

FirstNet Board Welcomes Public Safety Experts Karima Holmes, Matt Slinkard

Wilbur Ross, secretary of commerce, has added two public safety experts to the First Responder Network Authority Board. Karima Holmes, who directs Washington, D.C.'s Office of Unified Communications, and Matt Slinkard, executive assistant chief of police in Houston, Texas, will join a board that oversees the FirstNet public safety broadband network, the commerce department said Thursday.

Millisa Gary to Lead AbilityOne Program at GSA

Millisa Gary, former procurement ombudsman at the General Services Administration, will go on to serve as program executive of AbilityOne, a government-led procurement effort to create more job opportunities for disabled Americans. She holds the task to ensure GSA awards fair-priced AbilityOne contracts, updates service offerings and supports the mission to employ for disabled U.S. citizens, Jeff Koses, the agency's senior procurement executive, wrote in a blog posted Monday.

Chris Campione Appointed New Energy Department CIO

The Department of Energy has appointed Chris Campione as its new chief information officer, replacing Max Everett, who held the position for two years, FedScoop reported Tuesday.

Campione was named principal deputy CIO at DOE earlier this month after spending 10 years at information technology services company Planet Technologies, most recently as vice president within its federal division.

Harvard Medical School Professor Gil Alterovitz Named VA’s First AI Director

Gil Alterovitz, a biomedical informatics professor at Harvard Medical School and a White House presidential innovation fellow, has joined the Department of Veterans Affairs as director of artificial intelligence. He leads the ongoing efforts to broaden the application of AI in department's research and healthcare programs and collaborate with third-party organizations focusing on the technology, VA said Wednesday.
