USAF Brig. Gen. Wayne Monteith Named FAA Associate Administrator for Commercial Space Transportation

Brig. Gen. Wayne Monteith, a retiring U.S. Air Force commander, has been named the Federal Aviation Administration's associate administrator for commercial space transportation, effective Jan. 20, 2019. He will oversee the Office of Commercial Space Transportation that is charged with protecting national security and foreign policy interests, as well as the public, with regard to commercial launch, the FAA said Thursday.

NSC Principal Deputy Executive Secretary Joan O’Hara Assumes Full-Time Role

President Trump is appointing Joan Virginia O’Hara, former principal deputy executive secretary and deputy chief of staff for the National Security Council, to serve as the NSC's executive secretary.
Prior to assuming her role in July, O'Hara advised Vice President Mike Pence on national security and foreign policy matters, the White House said Friday. She also served six years with the House of Representatives' Homeland Security Committee, having previously held the role of general counsel.
