Brett Goldstein, director of the Defense Digital Service (DDS), told Nextgov in an interview published Tuesday about the need for the Department of Defense (DoD) to advance data literacy as it works on enterprisewide programs. Brett Goldstein Named Defense Digital Service Director

Brett Goldstein, formerly a special adviser to the Navy, has been named director of the Department of Defense’s digital service team. Goldstein will succeed founding director Chris Lynch and directly report to Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan as he oversees technology programs and talent recruitment efforts as head of the Defense Digital Service, DDS said Tuesday.
