Deanne Criswell, who worked at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) from 2011 to 2017, was nominated by President-elect Joe Biden to serve as administrator of FEMA. Biden also chose David Cohen, former deputy director of the CIA and current head of WilmerHale’s business and financial integrity group, to assume the position he held at the agency from 2015 to 2017.

The Commercial Space Council seeks to identify how to accelerate intelligence deliveries that rely on commercial satellites. CIA Labs Launched to Conduct National Intelligence R&D

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has inaugurated a new laboratory dedicated to performing research and development for national intelligence. CIA Labs will host in-house science and technology R&D and collaborate with other federal laboratories, industry and academia for various scientific pursuits, the agency said Monday.

CIA Publishes Documents on ‘Aquiline’ Drone Program

The CIA has declassified documents about a reconnaissance drone project in the 1960s. The Aquiline project sought to develop reconnaissance drones based on birds’ flight characteristics. The drone has a wingspan of 10 feet for use in carrying infrared cameras, radio equipment, radar and other payloads.
