Boeing Wins $2B USAF Contract to Deliver KC-46A Tankers

Boeing has been awarded a $2.1 billion contract to deliver 15 KC-46A tankers to the U.S. Air Force. With the award, the U.S. Air Force will expand its fleet of aircraft, which will help enable the integrated digital battlespace. “The KC-46’s adaptability is going to be a game-changer for the U.S. Air Force,” said Jamie Burgess, Boeing KC-46 tanker vice president and program manager.

BAE Systems Wins $500M Contract to Upgrade CV90s

BAE Systems has been awarded a more than $500 million mid-life upgrade contract by the Dutch Defence Materiel Organization (DMO) to deliver new turrets to the Royal Netherlands Army’s fleet of 122 CV90s, with an option for an additional 19 vehicles. BAE Systems’ new CV90 turret will feature an improved design and functionality.

USAF Downselects Northrop Grumman as Sole Contractor for F-16 Electronic Warfare Suite

The U.S. Air Force has downselected Northrop Grumman to complete the final project efforts to provide the electronic warfare suite for the service branch’s F-16 fighter aircraft fleet, the company reported on Monday. Northrop Grumman’s offering will work to protect pilots from radio frequency-guided weapons by detecting, identifying and defeating advanced threat systems.
