DHS Official: Sharing of Unclassified Cyber Threat Indicators Getting Faster

An official at the Department of Homeland Security recently said that the approval of unclassified versions of cyber threat indicators is now being done at a much faster rate, Nextgov reported Wednesday. Law enforcement and intelligence agencies submit cyber threat indicators to the DHS' National Cybersecurity and Communications and Integration Center as part of the Automated Indicator Sharing initiative. However, submissions with confidential information must first be scrubbed prior to public dissemination.
