The General Services Administration (GSA) has announced that Anil Cheriyan, deputy commissioner of the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) deputy commissioner and director of Technology Transformation Services (TTS) will leave the administration on July 17th.  He joined GSA in Jan. 2019, where he was responsible for the expansion of the IT Modernization Centers of Excellence (CoE) program.

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded contracts to Amazon Business, Fisher Scientific and Overstock.com to expand implementation efforts for the Commercial Platforms program and Section 846 of the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act. The platforms will be available to federal agencies to modernize the procurement and gain insights into open-market online spending.

GAO Reports Increase of Procurement Budget from 2018-2019; Potomac Officers Club Hosts Procurement Virtual Forum on June 9th

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) has released a report, noting that agencies spent more on procurement in fiscal 2019 than in any of the previous 10 years, the office reported in May 2020. The report stated that agency spending on multiple award contracts for IT and services increased from over the last year.
