DoD Begins Migrating IT Users to DEOS; Brian Hermann Quoted

The Department of Defense (DoD) has started migrating its IT users to Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS), the multibillion commercial cloud-based environment that will deliver collaboration services to the Defense Department. DEOS began the rollout process to its first users on Jan. 14th, according to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), who is spearheading the migration.

DISA Releases Final Solicitation for $11B DES IT Consolidation Contract


The final solicitation for the $11.7 billion Defense Enclaves Services (DES) IT consolidation contract has been released. The contract from the Defense Information Services Agency (DISA) will be a single-award contract to consolidate the networks of 22 non-warfighting agencies in the Department of Defense (DoD). DISA will be the single service provider to the agencies.
