USAF Concludes Effort to Replace A-10 Aircraft Wings

The U.S. Air Force's 571st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron has concluded an effort to replace the wings of a certain close air support aircraft. The group installed 162 wing pairs on A-10 Thunderbolt II units at Hill Air Force Base for the A-10 Enhanced Wing Assembly replacement program's final wave, Hill AFB said Saturday.

Air Force to Add Fourth Advanced Tech & Training Center in Utah

The U.S. Air Force is slated to open its fourth Advanced Technology and Training Center along the Wasatch mountain range near Hill AF base in Utah. The service branch said Thursday that ATTC-Wasatch will house training and qualification activities for new technologies “without interrupting actual aircraft maintenance production.”

Air Force Begins Maintenance, Testing of B-21 Raider Aircraft

The U.S. Air Force has chosen two USAF bases to provide support services for the B-21 Raider long-range strike bomber ahead of its delivery in the mid-2020s, the service branch said Friday. Tinker AFB in Oklahoma will perform maintenance and sustainment work at the Air Logistics Complex within the base's Air Force Sustainment Center. Meanwhile, Edwards AFB will host the Combined Test Force’s testing and evaluation operations at the California base's Air Force Test Center.
