OMB to Withhold Some Federal IT Spending Data on Public Site

The Office of Management and Budget will not publish select data on the federal government’s information technology spending for 2020 on the IT Dashboard web site, Bloomberg Government reported Tuesday. Officials will withhold information related to federal infrastructure, management and security investments as part of its “data masking decision,” according to the General Services Administration.

President’s FY 2020 Budget Request Includes $88B for IT Spending at Civilian Agencies, DoD

The Department of Defense and civilian agencies would get approximately $87.8B in combined funds for information technology spending under President Donald Trump’s budget request for fiscal year 2020. Civilian agencies would get $51B in IT budget for fiscal 2020 and DoD would receive $36.7B, according to supplemental budget information in the White House’s Analytical Perspectives report.
