The Department of Energy is investing $131 million in projects for technologies that would allow users to gather, store and apply carbon dioxide. A new funding opportunity announcement, titled Engineering-Scale Testing from Coal- and Natural-Gas-Based Flue Gas and Initial Engineering Design for Industrial Sources, will support the development of technologies that absorb CO2 from industrial sources, DOE said Friday.

DOE Introduces $79M Bioenergy R&D Funding Opportunity

The Department of Energy plans to award $79 million in grants to support research and development efforts for bioenergy sources. DOE said Friday that the department aims to use the funding opportunity to provide consumers low-cost and efficient domestic energy options including bioproducts and biofuels.
