NASA Done With Critical Design Review of OSAM-1 Spacecraft

NASA has concluded the critical design review of a spacecraft designed to demonstrate on-orbit refueling, manufacturing and assembly. The On-orbit Servicing, Assembly and Manufacturing (OSAM-1) mission completed its CDR in April with the help of Maxar Technologies. NASA and Maxar may now fabricate, assemble, integrate and test OSAM-1, following the CDR's completion.

NRO Plans Commercial Radar Imagery Procurement

A National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) official said the agency is looking to award multiple contracts to access commercial imagery from synthetic aperture radar satellites to study how space data products could support the intelligence community mission. Pete Muend, director of NRO’s commercial systems program office, said the agency began the sourcing process after its market survey in November drew many responses from the private sector.
