Curtiss-Wright Corporation announced on Wednesday that the company has received a contract to provide its commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) processor module technology to upgrade the F-22 Raptor aircraft through Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Prior to its selection, the Curtiss-Wright processor module was successfully subjected to a rigorous and extensive durability test program to meet the F-22 Raptor’s extreme environmental requirements.

Military Service Secretaries Aim to Facilitate Weapon Systems Interoperability via Common Standards

Army Secretary Mark Esper, Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson and Navy Secretary Richard Spencer have signed a new memorandum that establishes common standards of data sharing between weapon systems across domains. The Air Force said Friday the joint memo requires acquisition executives within service branches to publish implementation guidelines for procurement programs, determine gaps and suggest new standards.
