Kathleen Hicks: DOD 2022 Budget Request to Focus on Software, Munitions

Kathleen Hicks, the deputy secretary of defense and 2021 Wash100 Award recipient said the Pentagon's 2022 budget request will put more emphasis on munitions and software than large weapon systems. She said at the Aspen Security Forum that software and munitions create a critical difference in the military's capabilities. The budget submission is expected later this month.
