Air Force Conducts Construction Effort for KC-46A Aircraft Infrastructure

The Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) partnered with Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) and the Army Corps of Engineers to facilitate a multi-phase construction program that aims to build the infrastructure for the KC-46A Pegasus aerial refueling vehicle. AFCEC wrapped up building at McConnell Air Force Base in 2017.

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command completed capability testing for its Smart Grid facility management system to accelerate response time during emergencies, energy failures or power outages, the U.S. Navy said Tuesday. Smart Grid is a centralized system that deploys data analytics, predictive maintenance and mapping features to provide instant alerts of anomalies and help technicians identify specific issues within a facility.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division is developing a large data concept to unify, disseminate and catalog U.S. Navy research, development, evaluation and test data, Dvidshub reported Thursday. Jay Cooper Appointed Business Ops Research Director at NRL
