NCCoE Asks Feedback on Draft Report on Securing Containers in Multitenant Clouds

The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) within the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has issued a draft internal report on an approach based on hardware-enabled security to help protect application containers in multi-tenant cloud environments. NIST Releases Draft Guidance on Data Integrity, Ransomware Protection

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released a draft guidance to help agencies ensure the integrity of their data against ransomware threats in line with recognized cybersecurity requirements. The effort comes as part of NCCoE’s data integrity projects to improve understanding of architectures, capabilities and other resources to support a comprehensive data integrity strategy.

NIST Gives Security Guidance for Virtual Meetings


The National Institute of Standards and Technology has provided security measures that organizations may use when conducting virtual meetings. NIST advises organizations to frequently change access codes, use one-time passwords or multifactor authentication and monitor attendees for virtual meetings, Jeff Greene, National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence director, said in a blog post published Wednesday.

NCCoE Calls for Public to Comment on Cybersecurity Project Description

The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, an agency within the National Institutes of Standards and Technology, seeks public feedback on a recently drafted implementation project description. NCCoE said its project, known as Validating the Integrity of Servers and Client Devices, aims to demonstrate implementations that allow organizations to verify the authenticity of purchased computing tools.
