Liberty Defense Holdings has been licensed to commercialize a pair of screening systems sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DHS said Tuesday that it funded the Shoe Scanner and the High Definition - Advanced Imaging Technology (HD-AIT), which are developed by the Department of Energy's (DOE) Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

DOE to Build New $75M Facility for Clean Energy Tech Development; Jennifer Granholm Quoted

The Department of Energy (DOE) has commenced efforts to design and build a new $75 million facility that would support clean energy research and implementation. The new Grid Storage Launchpad (GSL) will operate from the Richland, Washington-based Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). GSL will house collaborative and multidisciplinary research, tests of energy storage systems and accelerated technology development.
