Army, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Prototype Quadrotor Drone Maneuverability Element

The U.S. Army has partnered with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in New York to develop a “trajectory planner” element to help improve vertical takeoff-and-landing maneuverability for quadrotor drones. RPI and the U.S. Army plan to conduct further simulation trials for the tail-sitter ahead of hardware integration activities and flight tests.
