NAVFAC Rolling Out ‘Smart Grid’ Energy Mgmt System

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command completed capability testing for its Smart Grid facility management system to accelerate response time during emergencies, energy failures or power outages, the U.S. Navy said Tuesday. Smart Grid is a centralized system that deploys data analytics, predictive maintenance and mapping features to provide instant alerts of anomalies and help technicians identify specific issues within a facility.
