Laura Stanton, deputy assistant commissioner for the information technology category at the General Services Administration’s Federal Acquisition Service, will serve as acting assistant commissioner of ITC in June, Federal News Network reported Monday. She will take over the responsibilities of Bill Zielinski, who will step down from his role on June 5 after three decades of federal service to serve as a chief information officer of a large city on the west coast.

The Federal Trade Commission has reached a new record in the number of received complaints regarding government imposters. FTC said Monday that it received 46,600 complaints in May on cases of scammers posing as government representatives, with a total of 176,200 complaints on the issue filed in 2019 as of spring.
