DARPA Leads Effort to Secure Software Vulnerability Reporting

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DAPRA) is working on a computer science effort to address the security risks associated with reporting software vulnerabilities. DARPA said Thursday that its Securing Information for Encrypted Verification and Evaluation (SIEVE) program will use zero-knowledge proofs in order to better protect exchanges of vulnerability information.

FCC Wants Advisory Panel to Focus on 5G Network Security; Jessica Rosenworcel Quoted

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will reestablish a federal advisory committee by the end of June 2021 that will focus on improving the security of 5G networks. The Communications Security, Realibility and Interoperability Council will also review vulnerabilities related to software and cloud services and come up with mitigation strategies.
