The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency facilitated a week-long experiment at Twentynine Palms, Calif., to evaluate the use of autonomous technology on the battlefield, C4ISRnet reported Friday. The series of tests comes as part of DARPA’s Squad X program aiming to utilize emerging technologies to refine warfighters’ intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities.
