Lauren Knausenberger: Air Force Must Automate IT Processes to Address Budget Shortfalls

Lauren Knausenberger, chief information officer of the U.S. Air Force and 2021 Wash100 Award, said the service branch must work to automate information technology procedures in preparation for budget flattening or decline. Knausenberger said at an AFCEA event that the Air Force needs to keep up with the private sector which has been experiencing increases in IT spending.

SpaceX Launches Additional Starlink Satellites on Falcon 9 Rocket

SpaceX launched its latest set of Starlink satellites on Jan. 20. With the launch, SpaceX has sent more than one thousand satellites for that broadband constellation. The Falcon 9 lifted off from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center. “We at SpaceX have certainly enjoyed what I would call a thoughtful and creative technical collaboration with an ever-widening group of astronomers,” said Patricia Cooper.
