Suzette Kent, federal chief information officer and a 2019 Wash100 award winner, said she believes artificial intelligence could result in the creation of jobs amid concerns regarding its potential impact on the workforce, FCW reported Thursday. "We know for a fact that we are creating more jobs in the data space, in the computational sciences spaces, and the design spaces," she said Wednesday at a Bipartisan Policy Council-hosted panel discussion.

The Office of Management and Budget released the final Cloud Smart strategy on Monday to help federal agencies accelerate the adoption of cloud platforms. The Federal Cloud Computing Strategy retains the proposed programs and measures stated in the draft strategy issued in September and calls for agencies to rationalize their application portfolios to facilitate cloud adoption.

Suzette Kent: OMB Working on Automated Tech Policy for Federal Agencies

Suzette Kent, federal chief information officer and 2019 Wash100 winner, said at a Department of Labor meeting that the Office of Management and Budget is “working aggressively” to develop automated technology policies, Nextgov reported Thursday. Kent told reporters at the closed-door meeting in Washington, D.C. that automated technology policy requires a lot of planning with various agencies which have different missions and controls.
