ODNI Names Matthew Kozma as IC CIO; John Ratcliffe Quoted

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) has selected Matthew Kozma to assume the role of chief information officer (CIO) of the intelligence community (IC), FedScoop reported on Friday. Kozma will succeed John Sherman, who left to join the DoD as principal deputy CIO in July. La’Naia Jones has served as acting CIO since Sherman’s departure.

USCYBERCOM Opens Integration Office for Unified C2, Analytics Platform

U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) has opened a new integration office for its Unified Platform that works to consolidate cyber, data analytics and command-and-control operations as part of the Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture (JCWA). JCWA is comprised of joint C2 systems, a sensor network, a suite of common firing technologies, cyber tools and the Persistent Cyber Training Environment.

Air Force Delivers ‘Unified Platform’ Increment 1 to Cybercom

Department of Defense officials said the U.S. Air Force developed the first iteration of a cyber platform designed to help cyber forces perform mission planning, share information and deliver command-and-control systems to support cyber missions, Fifth Domain reported Monday. A spokesman for the Air Force said the service handed over to U.S. Cyber Command the first increment of the Unified Platform April 9. Increment 1 features capabilities for interoperability and defensive cyber operations.

DoD Sets Schedule to Deploy Unified Platform to Integrate Cyber Ops

The U.S. Cyber Command is set to deploy a Northrop Grumman-built, next generation cyber weapon system designed to serve as the Department of Defense’s single platform to plan and launch offensive and defensive cyber operations, Fifth Domain reported Thursday. Senior defense officials expect the CYBERCOM's Unified Platform to launch this spring. The system is designed to provide the infrastructure, information sharing, data analytics, mission planning and command tools to support the military’s cyber missions.
