USAF Sends B-1B Bombers to Indo-Pacific Region for Training, Operations

The U.S. Air Force has brought four B-1B Lancer bombers to the Pacific Air Forces for bomber task force operations including training activities. On May 1, three of the aircraft went to Andersen Air Base in Guam and one flew to the east of Japan to support training operations before rejoining the others, USAF Academy said Monday.

Gen. David Goldfein, the U.S. Air Force chief of staff, said the service branch is moving forward to develop the Advanced Battle Management System, a new integrated situational awareness platform, addressing a certain report by the Government Accountability Office, C4ISRnet reported Thursday. GAO: USAF Needs Dev’t Plan for Advanced Battle Management System

The Government Accountability Office has found in an audit that the U.S. Air Force still needs to form a full plan for the development of a certain new multidomain situational awareness system. GAO said Thursday it recommends USAF to identify technologies and corresponding maturity assessments required to develop the Advanced Battle Management System.
