The Government Accountability Office (GAO) has added national initiatives to respond to, recover from and prevent drug misuse and emergency loans for small businesses to its “high-risk list” or areas in federal operations that require major reforms to reduce waste and address fraud, mismanagement and abuse. USPS Expands Digital Fingerprinting Service; Shane Powers Quoted


The U.S. Postal Service will expand its digital fingerprinting service for more than 400 post offices by the end of 2021. USPS entered into an agreement with  IDEMIA to integrate its biometric capture and in-person proofing services. “We’ll be able to scale at whatever pace they want to once the initial solution is delivered,” Shane Powers, vice president of operations at IDEMIA National Security Solutions.

Americans Remain Satisfied With Postal Service

The U.S. Postal Service took the top spot in a new poll by analytics and advisory firm Gallup that ranked the federal agencies based on the satisfaction of Americans. USPS received the highest rating, with 74 percent of respondents saying the agency is doing an "excellent" or "good" job, Gallup said Monday. The agency also ranked first place in 2014, 2017 and 2018.
