VA to Host Suicide Prevention Challenge

The Department of Veterans Affairs wants to create a marketplace of products that may support the prevention of veteran suicides. VA said Thursday in a SAM notice it plans to conduct a global competition, named the Suicide Prevention Grand Challenge, for the development of a marketplace that would feature evidence-based suicide prevention tools.

VA, DoD Launch Joint Information Sharing for Care Providers

Kshemendra Paul Named VA Chief Data Officer

Kshemendra Paul, a more than 14-year information technology veteran in the federal government sector, has been appointed chief data officer and executive director for data governance and analytics at the Department of Veterans Affairs. The department said Monday that Paul will lead business intelligence as well as data governance and analytics operations to help inform decision-making across the VA enterprise.
